Pocket Systems Limited was formed in 1996 to develop PocketGIS, an innovative field data capture system which utilised the low cost handheld computers that were beginning to appear at that time.
PocketGIS was first released in 1997, for the Newton MessagePad, and continues to evolve whilst retaining its slickness of operation and ease of use. Having run on a succession of Windows CE devices, PocketGIS has evolved again and is now available for Android.
