PocketGIS 3.1.2

E-mail Print

Attribute "Paper form" printing, internal file browser, improved DXF.

  • There is now a “Print” function on the Attributes Form menu. By default this generates a simple printout of the attribute values.
  • Form printing works best on Android 4.4 and later which has the Android Print system. It will however work on earlier versions using Google Cloud Print or the Samsung print app. This is OK for simple use but advanced use requires 4.4 or later for good results. PDF’s can be generated on 4.4 or later and, for simple forms, via Cloud Print.
  • You can configure the form printout to produce advanced replicas of paper forms (see attached). This is done by authoring a form using HTML and assigning it to a template using  “Set print layout” in the Feature Template menu. The form HTML can be created using a word processor such as Word. If you want more details on how to do this please contact us.
  • The “Export to Documents” option on the Export map dialog has been changed to “Export to local file” and launches the PocketGIS file save browser. This lets you choose the file location including export to a storage card.
  • On Android 4.3 and earlier, there is now a “Local file” option on the Import chooser. This launches PocketGIS’s own file browser which makes is easier (and in some cases possible) to select an import file on internal storage or from a storage card.
  • There is now a “Show shot distance to targets” Laser setting which turns on the distance display from shot to target.
  • Fixed issue where TIFF raster’s didn’t appear on map plots on Android 4.4 and later.
  • Fixed issue where text was the wrong size on map plots on Android 4.4 and later.
  • Fixed glitch where deleted features would display after a template apply.
  • Fixed glitch where TIFF raster would sometimes not appear immediately after a template apply.
  • Various other small fixes.
